Tony's Pizza

You are all familar with that local pizza shop tucked on the end of your nearest street corner. Tony's fits that description to a T. It boasts very reasonable prices and quick service, while providing ample seating area. It's the Cheers of pizza joints. Here's our take:
Price: $11 per pie
Ratings:
Taste: 8/15
Appearance: 9/15
Crust: 4/15
Value: 14/15
Total: 35/60
Comments:
BCizzle: "Crust is too soft, lots of cheese and grease."
Nick "The Pizza Godfather": Average NYC pizza not going to blow you away. Good deals available."
TBL: "Crust ruins the pizza, way too soft. Mediocre cheese and sauce. Value saves the pizza, great "specials" featuring sides and drinks."
"
"
The Low Down: Want an inexpensive pie that'll be ready in 10 minutes? Go to Tony's. It might not blow you away but it will certainly get the job done.

Lombardi's Pizzeria

Hailed as the first pizza joint in NYC, Lombardi's is nestled on the corner of Spring and Mott st. in Soho. It has been in operation since 1905. You are able to dine-in or take-out, however pizza is not served by the slice. After a 25 minute wait for a table, we put this coal-oven pie to the test. Price: $19.50 for large 18" pie, no toppings.
Ratings:
Taste: 13/15
Appearance: 13/15
Crust: 13/15
Value: 10/15
Totals: 49/60
Comments:
BCizzle:
"Top quality cheese and sauce with an overcooked, but crispy crust. More cheese and sauce is needed."
Nick "the Pizza Godfather":
"Delicious pizza when everything comes together. Cheese and sauce combination is very good, however good portions of the pizza has bare spots, which hurts the pizza overall."
TBL:
"Going to be tough to beat. Overall value hurts the perfect score, but what can you expect from 'the most famous pizza on the planet'".
The Low Down: While it's worth the experience of seeing origins of American pizza, you can definitely have just as much luck at a cheaper establishment for a fraction of the price.
